COPD/Restrictive Lung Disease Self-Scheduler

To qualify for this study, participants must:

  • Be 40 years of age or older
  • Have a BMI of >18 and <32 (Click here to calculate)
  • Be diagnosed with COPD or have restrictive pulmonary function 
  • Not be pregnant or breastfeeding and willing to use contraception if female of childbearing potential
  • Current non smoker – for at least 3 months prior to screening
    • COPD patients – must have smoking history
  • Not have known allergic reactions, hypersensitivity, or contraindications to aspirin, ibuprofen, or other NSAID
  • Not have uncontrolled cardiovascular, pulmonary, hepatic, renal, endocrinological, hematological, immunologic, metabolic, neurological, or gastrointestinal disease
  • Not have a history of coronary disease, stroke, congestive heart failure, or chronic high blood pressure
  • Not have history of gastrointestinal problems including ulcers, frequent indigestion or frequent heartburn
  • Not have a history of asthma
  • Not be on the active waiting list for a lung transplant
  • Not have cancer within the past year or ongoing active cancer treatment
  • Not have liver disease
  • Not have a known bleeding disorder 
  • Not have had a major surgery in the past 3 months
  • Not have a history of drug abuse in the past year
  • Not have active or latent tuberculosis
  • Not have Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, or HIV
  • Not have participated in a clinical research study in the past 30 days
  • Not have participated in more than 4 clinical trials in the past year
  • Not have orthodontic braces or dentures
  • Not require long-term (at least 12 hours daily) oxygen therapy
  • Not be receiving >10mg/day Corticosteroid treatment of Prednisone in the past 3 months
  • Be on stable COPD therapy 
  • Be on stable SoC therapy
